Welcome to the Niemeyer Heritage Foundation Tripoli (NHFT)
Preserving Lebanon’s Modernist Icon
The Niemeyer Heritage Foundation Tripoli (NHFT) is dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and revitalization of the Rashid Karami International Fair (RKIF), a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Danger. Designed by the legendary Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, the RKIF is a monumental symbol of Modernist architectural heritage in the Arab Near East.
At NHFT, we aim to ensure that this unique masterpiece continues to inspire and serve as a vibrant cultural hub for generations to come.
In addition to the RKIF, NHFT actively contributes to the conservation and protection of 20th-century Modern built heritage across Lebanon, emphasizing its historical and cultural significance.
